Parfi is a nearly mute Spritzee, hailing from a town far from Andalusst where the main form of communication was scents and whispered conversation. For reasons unknown, she left her home to travel through the fog, until she ended up near Andalusst beaten and battered. Dietrich found her and nursed her back to health, and is one of the few who can understand her very clearly due to his good hearing. 

Parfi follows her home's customs, and often lets out bursts of scents in conjunction with her mood. She does this unconsciously, but Dietrich has learned to gauge these as best he can. They are minutely different depending on the intricacies of her mood, but that is something most pokemon(including Dietrich) without a sensitive sense of smell are able to pick up on. 

Personality wise she is strong willed and sometimes harsh, slow to trust and suspicious of others besides Dietrich. She is an observer most of the time, but when she decides to take action it is usually swift and decisive. She is strong in battle and is not very merciful once she has judged someone.  Towards Dietrich she is protective and caring, and will speak to him more than anyone else, as she considers him her close friend after he rescued her.

Bashful/ Often Lost in Thought

Dietrich spent all his life in a library in a distant land, where his family were scribes and scholars. As such, he has spent his whole life in the company of books and knowledge, and committed himself to learning as much as he can. Other than learning, he wished for an application of his knowledge to others' benefit, but never got the chance, spending much of his older years as a glorified errand boy. On one such occasion he was delivering books when he ended up lost in the fog, stumbling upon an injured spritzee. He took her to safety, emerging from the fog in Andalusst. The new city thrilled him, and though he hoped to return home he could not navigate the fog, so he stayed with Parfi, who never divulged her reasons for not returning home. He hopes he can help others more now, and has formed a team with Parfi for that purpose.

He is open and good natured, always trying to be friendly to those he meets (despite Parfi's occasional doubts of those around him.) He is trusting to a fault, and eager to share his knowledge, but sometimes cannot articulate it as well as he wishes. He views Parfi as his close friend and even as family, relying on her strength and intuition to avoid some dangerous situations.
